User codes must be enabled on the Ricoh printer. This is typically done via the printerβs Web Image Monitor or control panel.
Make sure you have the correct printer driver:
Windows: Ricoh PCL or PS driver
macOS: Ricoh PS or PPD driver (not AirPrint)
Open Printer Preferences:
Go to Control Panel
β Devices and Printers
Right-click your Ricoh printer β Select "Printing Preferences"
Access Job Setup Settings:
Click on the "Detailed Settings" tab
Select "Job Setup" or "Job Log" from the menu
Enter Your User Code:
Find the "User Code" field
Enter the code provided by your administrator
Apply Settings:
Click Apply, then OK
Open Printer Settings:
Go to System Settings
β Printers & Scanners
Select your Ricoh printer β Click "Options & Supplies"
Launch Printer Utility:
Go to the Utility tab
Click Open Printer Utility
Configure Job Log/User Code:
In the Ricoh utility, find the "Job Log" or "User Code" section
Enable "Use User Code"
Enter your assigned code
Save and Exit:
Apply settings and close the utility
